🌊 The Wave Room

Dance & Arts Community Survey

Hello fellow dancer and artist friends! This is Macky O from Feels.wav.e and Macky Designs. I'm working on building a new flexible dance/arts rental studio in Miami for dancers, artists, and wellness instructors — a space that’s inclusive, affordable, and supportive of your craft. Whether you're teaching, training, creating, meeting, or just looking for a space to connect, I want to hear what would make this YOUR ideal space.

Please take 3 minutes to share your thoughts — your experience, knowledge and input truly matters. 💙

When renting a studio, what kind of rate feels fair for the value you're getting?

Please consider quality, location, amenities, etc.
$20–$30/hour – this is what I can reasonably afford right now
$35–$45/hour – I can afford this if the studio is solid and well-run
$50–$60/hour – I’m willing to pay this for high-quality space, great location, or flexible booking
I’d rather rent by the day / week / package — hourly doesn’t always work for me

What kind of layout or studio setup would work best for you?

Single choice
One large open room
Two or three separate rooms for different uses
A big studio + a meeting/lounge area
Doesn’t matter — just depends on quality and function

What are some of your frustrations with current studios or rental spaces?

Anything else you'd love to see in your ideal creative studio space?

Thank you, truly.

I really appreciate your help. This project is deeply personal. As someone who grew up dancing, creating, and searching for spaces where I felt safe, accepted, and inspired — I know how powerful it is to simply have a room where you’re allowed to be yourself. The Wave Room is my way of giving that to others. I’m building it for every dancer, artist, or wellness teacher who’s had to beg for time in someone else’s space, who couldn’t afford rent, or who didn’t feel like they belonged. This is more than a business — it’s my contribution to the community that raised me. I want to help others grow through movement, connection, and creativity.

I hope this will be your new go-to studio to make all your visions a reality. Make sure to sign up to our newsletter or follow us on IG to stay up to date and have access to exclusive perks!

Lots of love,

- Macky O
